These laboratories support the research activities performed by faculty and students of the department. Currently, these laboratories have a total area of 142 M2.
In this lab, the following equipment can be found:
• One GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar), with a 400 to 200 MHz antenna. This equipment is used to take high resolution shallow tomographies of the terrain.
• One Syntrex CG-5 gravimeter to take measurements of the gravitational field.
• One device to measure resistivity and induced polarity (IP). The device can be used in the field or with manual samples. For its use in the field, the device has a generator.
• High accuracy GNSS receptors for geodesic measurements.
Furthermore, this laboratory is equipped to cut rocks and to prepare thin sections.
Location: ÑJ building.
