Intereses

 

Las áreas de investigación de la profesora Pardo incluyen vulcanología física, vulcanismo explosivo, desgasificación y fragmentación del magma, y transiciones entre modos eruptivos.  En su trabajo, la profesora Pardo utiliza técnicas tales como mapeo de campo, estratigrafía, análisis de facies, secuencias piroclásticas y sedimentología, cuantificación de parámetros eruptivos, análisis de texturas 2D y 3D, transformadas de Fourier de espectroscopía infraroja (FTIR), microscopía electrónica de barrido (SEM), microsondas de electrones (EMPA),  y micro-tomografía computarizada.
